Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler pregnant... again!

Sitcom stars Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have revealed that they're expecting their second child.

Industry observers first suspected something was up with Poehler in January, when it was announced that her sitcom Parks and Recreation had been picked up for a third season. US networks typically don't make that kind of decision until much later in the year.

At the time, the early pick-up was attributed to "production reasons".

The third season of Parks will begin shooting in the Northern spring so that producers can shoot as many episodes as possible before Poehler gives birth. She's due in late summer.

The pregnancy isn't expected to be written into Parks and Recreation, so expect to see Poehler's character, council official Leslie Knope, wearing plenty of baggy coats and carrying oversized bags.

Poehler and Arnett's first son, Archie, was born in 2008.

Arnett's next project is the sitcom Wilde Kingdom, created by his former Arrested Development collaborator Mitch Hurwitz. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Arnett's character is "a Beverly Hills jackass who falls in love with a charitable tree-hugging woman (Felicity's Keri Russell) who can't stand his lifestyle or values."
